Announcing "Cash for College" Workshops

Congresswoman Gloria Negrete McLeod (D-Chino) is teaming up with a local community college and high school for two "Cash for College" Financial Aid Workshops.

"As students face higher tuition costs, it is my goal in Congress to advocate and raise awareness about many financial assistance opportunities available for a college education," explained Negrete McLeod. "These workshops are intended to help students begin the process of signing up for federal and state educational financial assistance through the free FAFSA application."

In collaboration with Mt. San Antonio Community College and Chino High School, the "Cash for College" Financial Aid Fairs will offer free assistance (in English and Spanish) with the 2014-2015 FAFSA application for prospective college students. Informative workshop at the Mt. SAC Fair will also be provided on Foster Youth scholarship opportunities, AB540/CA Dream Act scholarship opportunities, along with Mt. SAC admissions and enrollment information. High school seniors and/or parents are encouraged to attend either event.
